FANCY SOME WEEKEND INSPIRATION? HERE’S MY LIST OF THINGS TO DO, SEE, WEAR AND EAT…
Take your elevenses outside
Spring has officially sprung, so make the most of it and go outside! I love throwing open our kitchen doors and heading out into the garden with a cup of coffee and a sticky Swedish bun. It’s one of life’s simple pleasures. If you’re out and about, grab a table outside your favourite café and watch the world go by.
Celebrate the start of spring with bright and joyful clothes
This weekend open your wardrobe and look for something bright and snazzy that’ll blow away all your winter cobwebs. Bold colours are so joyful and energising. You’ll be like a butterfly emerging from your chrysalis – smile and enjoy it!
Pot up a primula
Cheer up your doorstep or kitchen table with a cute pot of primulas. They’re cheap and cheerful – what’s not to love? I buy mine from my local market where they’re a pound each, or less. They’re happiest outdoors, but I love dotting a few around the house too.
Watch Cheat on the ITV Hub
If you missed this new drama when it was on last week you can watch the whole thing online. It’s set in a university town (it was filmed in Cambridge) and revolves around lecturer, Leah, and her rather creepy student, Rose. It’s a bit far-fetched at times, but the drama is well paced and kept me interested. Just don’t mention the cat, OK?
Read a short story
Feeling too distracted by Brexit news to lose yourself in a good novel? Short stories are you friend. You’ll get your dose of escapism in bite sized form, which is just what I need right now. I’m about to dive into this collection from Curtis Sittenfeld. I’ve heard good things about it, so I hope it’ll do the trick.
