FANCY SOME WEEKEND INSPIRATION? HERE’S MY LIST OF THINGS TO DO, SEE, WEAR AND EAT…
Eat a waffle
I came back from my holiday in Budapest with some rather nice new mugs and an insatiable appetite for waffles. They’re super popular in all the cafés over there, with super sickly toppings or delicious savoury ones. As soon as we got home we ordered this waffle maker. It’s absolutely brilliant and the waffles are a doddle to make. They’re much easier than pancakes and there’s no skill involved at all. Expect more waffle spam coming your way very soon!
Wisteria Hysteria
An actual craze on Instagram, but don’t let that put you off. There’s something really joyful about this beautiful purple climbing plant. You’ll find it delicately scrambling across houses over the next few weeks, making even the most boring residence look magical. It’s a bit too shady outside my house for one, but I’m already making plans to plant one out the back where it’s more sunny. Go on a wisteria hunt around your neighbourhood – you won’t be disappointed.

Sip craft beer on the South Bank
I love mooching along London’s South Bank. There’s always so much to see and do, plus lots of places to stop for drinks, food and ice cream. The National Theatre has just launched its summer pop up bar, The Otherstudy, in cute shipping container. They’ll be serving UK craft beer to enjoy while you soak up the buzzing atmosphere. From 1 May they’ll also be delicious cocktails, plus street food like pizza, posh cheese toasties and ice cream. I can’t wait to try it out!
Re-watch Line of Duty
It there anything more indulgent than re-watching the boxset of one of your favourite shows? After watching the first episode of Line of Duty series five, I realised my memory of all the complicated plot lines was very hazy. The BBC have put all the old series on the iplayer and I have binge watched them all. My mind is now officially blown and I have a deep desire to call everyone who annoys me a ‘wee gobshite’. If you’re feeling foggy on the details too, I heartily recommend going back to the start, if only for the nostalgia factor of Linsday Denton’s fringe. Also, no one does a bitchy resting face quite like Kate Fleming.
