Happy Valentine’s Day to you all!
We shy, retiring Woodmans don’t usually go in for Valentine’s – but it was great to get a cup of tea in bed in a lovely new Emma Bridgewater mug (the hints have worked!) and a homemade ‘Valentimes’ card from Gabriel.
For James’ birthday last weekend I got a special print for him, which counted as a sort of Valentine’s present. It’s a really cute personalised train ticket which I ordered from Of Life and Lemons, via Not On the High Street. Our house is always littered with real train tickets, so we all really appreciated this!
After a leisurely morning we drove over for a walk at Anglesey Abbey. Their snowdrop season is in full swing and the little clumps of pearly white really cheered up a grey, drizzly day – surely Spring can’t be far away now?
Gabriel was delighted to be invited behind the barriers in the watermill (Tom was a little overawed and watched from a distance). They powered the mill for about five minutes and then we bought a bag of the freshly milled flour! Gabriel will love helping to make some bread with his flour during half-term.
And of course, we had to indulge in a little tea and cake after our walk…
Hope you all had a great day. I’m off now for a glass of pink fizz!
