The Macquarie Check Dress by Braintree Clothing
I first spotted Braintree clothing this summer in a small, independent shop in Hereford (whose name I can’t remember, sadly). I absolutely love this checked dress – wouldn’t it be just perfect for Christmas? There’s something so festive about it. I can imagine myself in it, mince pie and sherry in hand. Braintree clothing also make the most lovely bamboo socks, which I’ve recently spotted in a local independent shop, The Eel Catcher’s Daughter in Ely. A few pairs have been squirrelled away as Christmas presents already…
A wintry candle
I’m always on the look out for reasonably priced, nice smelling candles. I don’t have the budget for luxury ones, but need something to help disguise the smell of grubby boys (that, ideally, doesn’t smell of loo cleaner). This week I’ve discovered Glade’s Apple, Cinnamon and Vanilla 2 in 1 candle, which smells nice and is currently only £2.50 in Wilko’s.
Lovely Christmas cards
These are the nicest Christmas cards I’ve seen this year. They’re from The Lovely Drawer and cost £14.99 for a set of 8. Definitely too special for sending out to your child’s class, but perfect for your nearest and dearest.
What are your favourite things this week?

Those are beautiful Christmas cards, I am starting to get very excited about Christmas approaching now – this is a really nice idea for a regular blog post 🙂
