Weleda Almond Soothing Cleansing Lotion
Weleda are a well established company with excellent eco-friendly and ethical credentials. Their products are full of natural ingredients and come in at a great price point. I’ve been using their almond cleansing lotion (£11.95) and I’m impressed. I massage the light and fresh feeling cream into my skin and then rinse it off with a warm wash cloth. It leaves my skin feeling wonderfully soft and the sweetly subtle scent of almonds is lovely. I also want to give a small shout out to the Skin Food Light. I find it too heavy for my face, but love it on my neck and décolletage.
Multi-purpose wash cloths by Katie’s Shed
I stopped buying cotton wool pads about six months ago and now only use re-useable washcloths to remove my make up and cleanse my face. Katie’s Shed kindly sent me these BEAUTIFUL wash cloths to try and they look and feel amazing. One side is soft terry towelling, the other is smooth cotton. The pretty designs make me smile when I take off my make-up! They’d also make fantastic baby wipes too – a perfect gift for a new baby, perhaps? A set of seven cloths is £11.95 – available from Etsy or Folksy.
Evolve Beauty’s Miracle Facial Oil
I’ve just finished my first bottle of this facial oil (£30) and my skin loves it. I moisturise with this before bed (instead of a cream) and it goes on like a dream and absorbs quickly. Evolve Beauty use natural ingredients like Rosehip and Blackseed oil to gently nourish your skin. Everything is made in small batches in Hertfordshire and is vegan and cruelty free. I’m really pleased to have discovered this small UK beauty brand and I’m looking forward to trying more of their products!
Re-fillable lipsticks by Charlotte Tilbury
Finally, make up brands are waking up to the fact that their customers want less packaging. Charlotte Tilbury’s new Hot Lips 2 lipsticks are now refillable! These beautiful and long-lasting lipsticks are my favourites and it’s so great to know that I can refill the gorgeous case when it’s empty. I’m not sure how fiddly it’s going to be, but apparently you just click it in. If you like a bit of bling in your make up bag, then these cases are a stunning investment.
