Did I mention how much I love flowers?
If you’re a regular reader you’ll already know how much I love filling my home with flowers – in a jug, on a cushion cover or perhaps on the wall. One place in my home that I particularly love to fill with flowers is my bedroom. I may share the room with my (long-suffering) husband, but I like it to be as flowery and feminine as possible.
I used to be a bit boring with my bed linen, thinking that plain white cotton was the only way to go. Crisp white sheets are great in theory, but the reality was usually a bit sad and crumpled. These days, I like to throw a bit more colour into the mix.
We’re just on the cusp of spring and the weather is a bit erratic at times. It might still be cold outside, but that’s not going to stop me creating an English summer garden in my bedroom. It’s the interiors equivalent of ripping open a packet of flower seeds and scattering them over my garden!
So, when Julian Charles asked me to pick out my favourite piece from their collection, I was naturally drawn to their Evelyn bed linen range – with its beautiful hydrangea print.
Floral duvet covers are definitely not just for grannies. My one tip though, is to keep everything else in the room very simple – stripped wooden floors or plain carpets. And don’t choose matching curtains. It’s always better to choose one or the other, not both!
This is a collaborative blog post, but all thoughts, words and photos (unless otherwise stated) are my own.

I love floral bedding but I have too much pattern elsewhere in my bedroom to get away with it sadly. I should point my mum in the direction of this post – she loves to match, and has recently redone their guest room with matching floral wallpaper, bedding, curtains – the works! It’s overwhelming!

Gorgeous!! I love colourful bedding and flowers in the bedroom, too. We have pale walls so bright accents work really well.
