Lolling in a deckchair on a summer’s day is one of life’s simple pleasures.
One of my birthday presents this year was a pair of deckchairs. I’d been dropping hints for a while and James was clever enough to pick up on them!
They’re made by Southsea Deckchairs, a company who pride themselves on producing traditional deckchairs. And – even better – they’re made in England. Sturdy and substantial, and with a dizzying array of wonderful striped fabrics to choose from.
They have already transformed the way we use our garden. Casual, informal and ever-so comfortable. Perfect for relaxing in with a cup of tea after the school run. Or with a glass of Pimm’s on a warm evening. I’ve also resurrected my old butler’s tray which works perfectly with them. It’s an old Ikea purchase from at least 12 years ago. I painted it pale green many years ago, and it’s really coming into its own again.
The only problem is that the boys really like them too. Every time we go outside there’s a rather undignified round of musical chairs! I think we’ll need to order two more…
The Southsea Deckchair, with natural cotton fabric: £89.95
This is not a sponsored post. James bought these for me and I genuinely love them and want to recommend them to you.
They look great – I’m not surprised everyone is fighting over them lol #HomeEtc
We will definitely be getting more! x
Lizzie I love that photo of you, so cute! I think we share a fondness for scones 😉 Beautiful deckchairs X #HomeEtc
Thank you! Scones are definitely my favourite thing – much nicer than cake! x
They are gorgeous deck chairs. We have a pair of ‘his and her’s’ deck chairs and we live on them during the summer months.
Hmm I now have a hankering for scones….. 😉

Scones and deckchairs are definitely a match made in heaven! x
I LOVE your chairs, they look so comfy too. Hope you don’t have rain like we do today!!

Thank you! It’s been a bit drizzly, but not too bad fortunately 🙂
Love those deckchairs! I think I would be sat in the garden permanently if I owned them! Xxxx
It’s certainly my favourite place to be at the moment! x
Wow, wow and wow!! I love them. And they’re in my blog colours. Almost as if they were made for me. I do love a good deckchair. And they look so cool in the garden. Definitely on my wishlist now!
I love the colours too – husband did well choosing them in secret! x
They do look very comfy and inviting. You look very happy with yourself in that photo. What a clever husband you have to pick up on hints. They don’t all come equipped with that capacity, you know 😉

The smug look was mostly down to the giant scone with clotted cream! x
Oh, they are lovely! And yes, I think you’re going to need more! x
They do look great, no wonder there’s that musical chair thing going on. You can’t beat a traditional style deckchair – hope you have many more happy, sunny days in them 🙂 #homeetc
I blooming LOVE a deckchair!! I’d like some for our caravan — instead of camping chairs. There’s something ridiculously nostalgic about a deckchair isn’t there? Especially this kind — they’re really lovely!! Thanks so much for linking up with #HomeEtc Lizzie — hope to see you again next week! x
PS — loving your yellow and white stripy t-shirt!! 😉

Love the deckchairs – so bright and colourful and they are really comfy too aren’t they? Reminds me of lazy days at the beach! P.S. even better if they come with delicious scones 🙂 #HomeEtc
I LOVE these chairs, they look so comfy too! Perfect seating for a lovely summer day x
