Today I’m delighted to tell you more about a lovely project I’ve been working on with Wayfair. My idea was to take an off-the-peg, flat-pack playhouse and turn it into something really special that the boys will treasure, year after year.
You can read my full tutorial here, but I’d like to share some of my favourite photos and a little video with you…
This really was a lovely project to work on and the boys are already enjoying some summer-holiday fun in their new den.
This looks like it was such a fun project! I really love how you have styled the play house – I bet the boys have really ejoyed playing in there. Xxx
Thank you Catherine! xx
That is absolutely gorgeous! Many memories will be made in it I’m sure….
Thanks Kim! x
So fun and what a beautiful colour too! X
It’s adorable!! I want one!!!
Thank you – I can squeeze in it to read them stories…once I’m in, it’s quite roomy! x
Looks great – I love the bunting and the “flower” windmill 🙂 #homeetc
Blimey, this is amazing!!! Really amazing!! You’ve done a fantastic job. Is it wrong that I’d probably want it for myself rather than my kids? 😉
Thank you! I definitely want one for myself – when we get a new shed/studio I think I’ll be painting it to match! xx
It looks fab, I love the colours! We are just in the process of choosing a playhouse for our toddler and this has given me so much inspiration! Thanks for sharing,
Becky xx

Thanks Becky – I’m so happy it has given you some inspiration! I’d definitely recommend this playhouse x
Oh my twins would love this! How sweet, and what a fab space to play in! I love playhouses and yours is especially lovely. Thanks for linking up – much appreciated. Jess x

Thanks Jess – I just love the cuteness of it all too. xx
Oh Lizzie — it’s lovely! Makes me feel a bit sad actually — we have a similar one in our garden but it’s FULL of my work stuff!! Packing boxes — rolls of bubble wrap!! Until I can afford my lovely garden office, the little playhouse is being used as a storage hut!!! Poor little Twinkles — one of the days they’ll actually be able to play in it!! 😉 Thanks so much for linking up with #HomeEtc — hope to see you again next week! x
Hope you get your one sorted soon! xx
Oh how lovely! You clever clogs. I liked the little video – though I spent the whole time watching it thinking “did you have your phone gaffer taped to a tree in order to shoot that?!”
I have always dreamed of cornflower blue outdoor furniture. Maybe I’ll just go ahead and do it – your playhouse is such an inspiration!
Thanks Katie! We had a shed painted this colour in our old garden and I always wanted to re-create it. We used a GoPro camera attached to our fence with a Manfrotto magic arm! xx
